27 Firefighters Fight Blaze at Northridge Home

The flames were under control in 12 minutes.

A fire broke out in a Northridge home Saturday, a city fire official said.

The fire was reported at 6:15 p.m. in the 8300 block North Tunney Avenue near Roscoe Boulevard, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

With 27 firefighters on the scene, the flames were under control in 12 minutes, Scott said.
