2 Suspects in Northridge Kidnapping Case Plead Not Guilty

Two men accused of kidnapping a Northridge girl earlier this year entered not guilty pleas to dozens of charges in a downtown courtroom Friday, the Daily News reports.

Dustin Tobias Summers allegedly kidnapped the 10-year-old girl on March 27 during a home invasion robbery in the 8000 block of Oakdale Avenue and went on to rape her before dropping her off on a Woodland Hills street.

Daniel Martinez is the suspected driver of the vehicle that took the girl away from her house.

A judge in the past few months tried to get a plea deal, but both parties were unable to agree, according to the Daily News reports.

Summers and Martinez are scheduled for a Jan. 10, 2014 pre-trial conference.
