118 Freeway Brush Fire Extinguished Near Rocky Peak Road

Both the Los Angeles Fire Department and the Ventura County Fire Department responded.

Both the Los Angeles Fire Department and the Ventura County Fire Department responded to a brush fire adjacent to the westbound lanes of the 118 Freeway Tuesday afternoon.

It was a mutual aid situation, according to LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey, with flames breaking out at about 4:30 p.m. just feet away from the border between the two jurisdictions near Rocky Peak Road.

The fire was quickly extinguished.
