My Personal Holiday Wish List

Some of the items on my holiday wish list

I make my living selling real estate in Chatsworth.  I say that so you can put my holiday wish list into perspective.  Some of the items on my list have nothing to do with real estate; others have everything to do with real estate.  So, in no particular order, here is my holiday wish list:

  1. My dog, Duke, will stop hogging the bed at night.
  2. Prospective buyers who think a property that they are interested in is overpriced will make an offer that they think is reasonable.
  3. The massive amounts of foreclosures feared to loom in the background don’t really exist.
  4. Short sales will have simply been a bad dream.  They never existed.
  5. People realize that all things come to an end, including bad real estate markets.
  6. The Clippers are in fact a better team than the Lakers.
  7. The Dodgers finally and completely rid themselves of Frank McCourt.
  8. The southeast corner of DeSoto and Chatsworth stops being an eyesore.
  9. I go the entire year without a heart attack.
  10. My cat, Noelle comes to realize that I’m the boss and not the servant.
  11. More people enjoy all the charms that Chatsworth has to offer.
  12. We are all more prosperous next year than we are this year.
  13. Independently owned businesses in Chatsworth thrive.
  14. The Denver Broncos win the Super Bowl.
  15. All of your wishes and dreams come true.

We should be spending So Cal money to use the "LA river", diverting some to cisterns andRead More reservoirs. It no longer feeds a delta which must have been a very rich one 200 years ago. You are right, L.A. with it's huge population subsidizes most of State Taxes. That the Oil companies in the Central Valley are sucking up more water is no surprise. If we have several years of drought, we can drink 87 octane. We have been allowing water that falls here in L.A. to run into the ocean, saving little to none. We can go from 25-30" a year to 4. Suddenly on the 4 year we have high rates and rationing. Why ? Because it has always been the quick buck and expediency over thoughtful planning. in Israel, Masada is in one of the driest area's of the world. By channeling droplets of water, they were able to water a community of hundreds for years.
