I encourage you to read this article recently published in Fortune Magazine.  It discusses why you just might want to buy real estate in today's market.   Yes, I'm a real estate agent.  But the author of this article isn't.

Keep in mind the two very historic variables currently at play: Extremely discounted real estate prices and the lowest interest rates in over 40 years.
