Lying to Instigate Apathy

The last days before an election are always heightened with reprehensible tactics.

The timing of press releases and mailers are acutely tuned to the psychology of lying just enough to create doubt, lying just enough to cause apathy (why bother to vote), and then eliminating, fabricating, and exaggerating  facts in order to lie without "really lying"

So if you have rec'd the piece with innuendo's that Donnelly is on probation for Larceny read it carefully  - two separate incidents separated by 20 years.  The one incident has to do with carrying a gun into the airport - well reported by newspapers in 2012. The lawmaker has characterized the incident as an "honest mistake," saying he had forgotten to remove the gun from his briefcase after placing it there while working in his home garage. On Monday, his lawyer, Rod Pacheco, described the plea bargain as a fair resolution to the case
The other is an incident explained in this news article: http://blogs.sacbee.com/capitolalertlatest/2014/03/tim-donnelly.html

Or another piece about Mark Reed being an indicted criminal or  convicted felon.
Not true - he is allowed to carry a gun as part of duties when working with the LA Police department.

Don't buy into the maleficent marketing guru who drummed up these pieces with the sole intention for you to cast a reactionary vote based on fabrication and lies.

You talk about Donnelly but that mailer on the picture you copied talks about Mark Reed's known criminal record. You even tried to scratch it the URL off in your picture so people couldn't go to check it out. http://www.tinyurl.com/LAPDarrestrecords shows Mark Reed's long history as a law breaker and even the fact that he had all of us, taxpayers, foot his legal bills when he declined to appoint a private lawyer and hired a public defendant instead and then refused to pay for their fees. This wasn't about a gun he carries "as part of duties when working with the LA Police department" -- please stop lying! Reed got that LAPD volunteer badge after trying to expunge his criminal record and as attempt to whitewash his past only in 2013. That record is all prior to 2013 and it's not just an illegal gun but also DRUGS and DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE and other behavior that point to a reckless person who thinks he's above the law, rather than a law-abiding citizen. I am not making anything up. It was all dug up and published by Susan Shelley and it's still on her webpage at the URL mentioned above, http://www.tinyurl.com/LAPDarrestrecords. Please present all of the facts and stop complaining about the truth you don't like!

The owner of the website ( Susan Shelley, candidate for the Assembly ) has been is fully aware they are not only erroneous they are slander with malicious intent. I would suggest you remove your post.

The web site is over two years old. If it really was "slander with malicious intent" I would think that Mark Reed would have gone to court to have it taken down.

Mark Reed June 01, 2014 at 08:01 PM "I have always answered your questions" _________________________________________________________ Carl Petersen III June 01, 2014 at 08:05 PM "So why don't you tell the voters why you are not running in the district where you live?" ________________________________________________________ Apparently this is not a question that he is willing to answer.
