DO WE DESERVE THE TRUTH?
Do we deserve the truth from our elected officials and our unelected bureaucrats? Not so much as to punish them but to have the opportunity to fix what is broken.
I remember the first and only time I LIED to my father. I was 16 1/2years old and it took several years to regain his trust. Not only from my father but for what came out of my own mouth.
Lois Lerner put on administrative leave by IRS. Lois Lerner, the director of the tax-exempt organizations division at the Internal Revenue Service, has been placed on administrative leave, sources in Congress and the administration confirm. Federal workers are given pay and benefits when put on administrative leave. “My understanding is the new acting IRS commissioner asked for Ms. Lerner’s resignation, and she refused to resign,” Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said in a statement. “The IRS owes it to taxpayers to resolve her situation quickly.”
A lie comes from a cowardly feeling and an inability to take personal responsibility when you have done something wrong. When I was a child my parents expected me to tell them the truth. At that time I did not understand why. I thought they wanted to know everything I was doing. Then I became a husband and of course my wife expected me to tell her the truth. The truth has kept us married for over 35 years. We have three adult children and nine Grandchildren now.
Now I understand fully why my parents wanted me to tell them the truth all the time. It's not so they can punish me when I did something wrong it's so they can help me fix what I did wrong and learn from it in the process. It's called Character building.

Not so much as to punish them but to have the opportunity to fix what is broken. If you don't fix it it will only get worse. The problem with the scandal at the IRS; the IRS is not a Federal Government Agency it is a private organization working on behalf of the Federal Government to collect Taxes imposed by Congress.
Congress, through Committee, oversee's the IRS to assure they are doing their job correctly. This scandal goes beyond the targeting of any one group because left unfixed it can target anyone, any group, company or organization.
The IRS is drunk with power and needs to be reined in for the security of America and individual freedom. If any one Congressman did not and has not shouted from the bully pulpit, we have entrusted them with, they need to be replaced for the sake of America and individual freedom.
The IRS has been given new powers through the Affordable Health Care Act and I'm not so sure they can be trusted with that power especially when Congress from both sides of the aisle refuse to do their jobs.
Do we deserve the truth from our Congressman?
Do we deserve the truth from unelected bureaucrats?.
