Blog: Fowl Gathering at Woodland Hills Marriott

Marketing gurus are enticing you to spend, spend, & spend between Black Friday & Cyber Monday. Instead consider spending $10-$20 to donate a frozen turkey in support of 7 West Valley charities.

The Marriott Woodland Hills is the place to be if you are a frozen Turkey. No it is not the Canadian Geese or even the resident Calabasas Geese popping over to warm up under their outdoor heaters.

Warner City News Editor Kathleen Sterling and local attorney Mark Blackman have initiated a grass roots effort to support seven local charities.

They are requesting residents to DROP OFF A FROZEN TURKEY thru Tuesday 11-20-12 for the benefit of: Pacific Lodge Boys Home, Valley Interfaith Council, Warner Center Rotary, Guadalupe Center, West Valley Food Pantry, Haven Hills, Calabasas Rotary/Feed the Elderly Thanksgiving, and Angel's Way.

So while marketing gurus are enticing you to spend as much as possible over the Black Friday to Cyber Monday frenzy; consider spending $10-$20 for the benefit of someone else by purchasing a frozen turkey.

Whether you shop at the newly rennovated Jons in Winnetka, or any local  Trader Joe's, or Vons/Pavillions,  Whole Foods, Ralphs, Albertson's, Jims Meat Market, or big box Walmart.  Please add an extra 10-15lbs (aka turkey) to your cart and then drop it off to the Bell Captain at curbside of the Mariott in Woodland Hills!
