What's Bugging Chatsworth? [VIDEO]

Blocked storm drains result in flooded streets when it rains.

Several weeks ago KABC's Carlos Granda and a cameraman brought his "What's Bugging You?" series to Chatsworth to find out what was bugging Clara Ann Woll.

Well, the spot finally aired this week, and focused attention on our clogged storm drains. Click here to see the video.

It turns out that the city installed grates on the storm drains to prevent trash from washing all the way to the sea during rainstorms. One solution has created another problem. Now leaves, pine needles and other debris back up at the grates and when it rains, the streets flood.

"I've seen it flooded enough that it was up at curb level," Chatsworth resident Clara Ann Woll told Granda.

"The city had just cleaned these drains just three weeks ago and you can see one day of heavy winds causes enough debris to blow into the drains that they're already blocked again," said Woll.
