Scattered Power Outages in Chatsworth, West Hills, Sherman Oaks and Studio City

Department of Water and Power reports 900 customers in the dark around Los Angeles.

About 900 customers were without power in scattered outages throughout Los Angeles Wednesday night including West Hills, Sherman Oaks and Studio City.

There was a Twitter posting of a Chatsworth outage which was not immediately reported on the Department of Water and Power website.

Downed wires caused by a fallen tree in the 900 block of Forest Avenue in Boyle Heights cut power to about 2,100 customers, but service was restored to all customers by 11:15 p.m., according to Jane Galbraith of the Department of Water and Power.

About 645 customers were without power in South Los Angeles due to an outage centered on 48th Street, Galbraith said.

Other scattered outages, which she said were also weather related, were affecting customers in and around downtown and the Eastside, Galbraith said.
