Who's 2 Blame

Parks and Wrecked?

The threatened closure of Santa Susana Park is just another sign post that the economy continues to dip as people simply cannot pay their taxes.  Who is to blame for all of this?  It's the banks.  They continue to refuse to loan money at low rates and have cancelled home equity loans because they did not want to loan money at cheap rates on homes that had equity.  The banks will not loan at these low rates even if your new payment is less than the old payment you have been making while maintaining a high credit score.  The lower the house payment, the more expendable income you have, which in turn lets you buy things that incur sales taxes and money for the state.  Right now, government cannot afford to run the way it has because of the lack of revenue, so the solution is to shut things down rather than economizing.  Hence all involved with budgets bust their hump to get money from somewhere.  I note that since gas hit 4 bucks plus the state has enriched their coffers mightily.  Meanwhile we continue to see shut downs such as the park service and fire services locally as well as our roads looking like the surface of the moon.  So, who do we blame for this?   You can bank on it....
