Leslie Marrell

Have you ever experienced the frustration of being "in the middle" as your lawyer and your supplier's lawyer exchange contract language back and forth?  Does it sometimes take days/weeks/months to finalize your contract?  Is the final stumbling block to resolution typically either the Limitation of Liabilities clause or the Indemnity clause?  If  you've answered "yes" to any (or all) of these questions, come to our August 8th dinner meeting for insight into working more effectively with your legal department.  Leslie Marell, former in-house attorney and current private practitioner, will discuss how to engage with your legal department to expedite the legal review and contract finalization.  Leslie will talk about the most common mistakes business people make when dealing with their lawyers and gibe you tips and techniques to form a good working relationship with your legal department.
