Mormon Helping Hands and Friends to develop Canoga Park High School Farm

More than 200 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Knights of Columbus will clean up the 1.5 acre farm at Canoga Park High School on Saturday, April 26.

As an annual Mormon Helping Hands Day of Community Service, volunteers will help with cleaning animal stalls, weeding, trimming trees, raking, picking up trash and painting. They will help maintain projects and construction made possible by the Lowe’s Garden Project.

Members of the community are invited to participate. Contact Donée Chabot at doneechabot@gmail.com, or call 818-887-0577 for information. Volunteers are encouraged to wear gloves and clothes suitable for painting. They should also bring tools such as paint brushes, hoes, rakes and weeders.
