This Rhodesian Ridgeback Needs a New Home

Lucky must be adopted by April 15 or he will be dropped off at the pound.

A four-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback named Lucky could sure use some of his namesake.

The dog's owner is a local caregiver who's accepted another job and can't take the pet with her, so a new home is needed by April 15 or he will be dropped off at the pound.

North Hills resident Peggy Burgess, the caregiver's client, said Lucky is neutered, up to date with his shots, licensed and micro-chipped.

The pooch is described as gentle, but has an anxiety issue and cannot be left alone.

"If he's in a home with another dog where he has a playmate that would probably solve the problem or a home where someone is either around all the time or can take him along  when he/she leaves the house," Burgess said. "He's fine as long as someone is around."
