The Devonshire Street entrance to the Chatsworth Metrolink and Orange Line stations will be closed for constructiion beginning Dec. 31, according to a sign posted by the L.A. Department of Transportation at the depot.
The roadway is scheduled to reopen on Jan. 14, 2013.
The Old Depot Plaza Road entrance will be widened to allow buses to enter without swinging into opposing traffic lanes. Traffic will be restricted to the Lassen Street entrance during construction.
Operations of the Orange Line will not be affected by the closure.
The following bus lines will be impacted, according to Metro:
Line 158
Eastbound: Depart temporary layover via regular route. Westbound: Regular route to Devonshire St. and Variel Ave., then continue via Devonshire St. to (L) Canoga Ave., (R) Lassen St., (R) Topanga Cyn. Bl., (R) Devonshire St., and layover east of the railroad tracks.
Lines 166 & 245
Eastbound: Depart temporary layover via regular route. Westbound: Regular route to Devonshire St. and Owensmouth Ave., then continue via Devonshire St. to (R) Eton Ave., (R) Lemarsh St., (R) Canoga Ave., (L) Devonshire St. and layover farside after left turn.
Line 167
Eastbound: Depart temporary layover via regular route. Westbound: Regular route to Lassen St. and Variel Ave., then continue via Lassen St. to (R) Topanga Cyn. Blvd., (R) Devonshire St., and layover west of the railroad tracks.
Line 244/245
Eastbound: Regular route to Devonshire St. and Variel Ave., then continue via Devonshire St. to (L) Canoga Ave., (R) Lassen St., (R) Topanga Cyn. Blvd., (R) Devonshire St., and layover east of the railroad tracks. Westbound: Depart temporary layover via regular route.
