Chatsworth Garden Festival Blooms Sunday

Check out the sprawling gardens and get a gander at a landmark cabin from the 19th century.

It's that time of spring again to stop and smell the roses at Homestead Acre for the annual Chatsworth Garden Festival.

The Chatsworth Historical Society fundraiser event is this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and invites attendees to check out an array of plant displays, blooming rose gardens, the historic Minnie cottage-- built in 1886--and other activities.

Also, afternoon tea is being served at the Duchess Tea room from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

There is a $5 admission donation, $1 for children and kids under five get in free.

The Homestead Acre is located at the first stop sign in Chatsworth Park South (West End of Devonshire Street)10385 Shadow Oak Drive.

Parking is limited, so a shuttle will be offered for those who park at Chatsworth Train Depot (10038 Old Depot Plaza Road). The free shuttle will run during the entire event.
