With more than 40,000 votes cast, The Los Angeles Times Sunday announced the Readers' Choice listing the Best of the Best.
And, of course, two Chatsworth businesses ranked at the top of the regional list. If you've lived here very long, you probably know them well.
First there's Earl's Donuts, 20429 Devonshire St., as the Valley/Ventura's favorite doughnut spot. And then there's the venerable Los Toros Mexican restaurant, 21743 Devonshire St., where you can order their signature burrito ranchero, chile verde, or chile Colorado with one of their famous .
And Chatsworth adjacent, there's Brent's Deli, 19565 Parthenia St., Northridge, ranked as the best in the entire state. The Times said:
"Much to the chagrin of some New Yorkers, Brent’s has been hailed as not only the best deli in California, but perhaps No. 1 in the entire United States. It’s certainly one of the busiest, with its original Northridge location alone serving more than 1,000 diners (and prepping catering for another thousand) on an average Sunday. At this family-run favorite, it’s all about how they cook, cut and heat the meats in exquisitely balanced sandwiches."
