New Play Areas and Splashpad for Mason Park in Chatsworth

My office, the Los Angeles Parks Foundation and the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks invite you the opening of Mason Park Playgrounds and Splashpad.

Saturday, May 10
10:30 am

Mason Recreation Center
10500 Mason Ave.
Chatsworth

The expanded and renovated play areas and new splashpad are the result of a grant from First 5LA Tot Parks and Trails Initiative and the collaboration of Shane’s Inspiration, the LA Parks Foundation and the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks.

The two new all-inclusive, universally accessible playgrounds serve children ages 0-5 and 5-12. A new “splashpad” water play area will help kids keep cool during the hot summer months and will surely make the adjacent picnic area the place to host birthday parties and family gatherings.
Thanks to the Los Angeles Parks Foundation, Shane’s Inspiration and the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks new concrete walkways, shade protection and new fencing are all part of the new play space funded by First 5LA for the community.
