Ambulance Donated to the California Emergency Mobile Patrol...

This week, I am pleased to announce that the City Council unanimously passed my motion to allow for the donation of a surplus ambulance to the California Emergency Mobile Patrol (CEMP).

Based in the San Fernando Valley, CEMP is an all-volunteer non-profit organization that provides emergency response for the City of Los Angeles. CEMP is trained and ready for a variety of missions, including search and rescue, command post, and evacuation.

Section 22.547 of the Los Angeles Administrative Code provides that upon Council approval, surplus City equipment may be sold for less than market value ($1.00) to a non-profit organization located in the City which has been established exclusively to further the service provided by the City.

This ambulance will allow CEMP to continue their important work helping the Los Angeles Police Department.
