A Matter of Trust

Show this little guy that he can trust you and he will bring lots of love to his forever home.

When I first met Emilio he seemed a little stand-offish. Given his history, this is understandable. He was part of a group of dogs that had been abandoned at an apartment building and was used to fending for himself. He was last of the dogs to be rescued as he would run away whenever his rescuer tried to get him. On the night he was finally rescued he was was being tormented by a group of men who thought it was fun to chase them with their car. He made a choice between two fears and ran right for his rescuer.

As one of AyeChiMomma pet rescue’s foster families we are lucky enough to provide Emilio with a temporary home. It did not take long for him to warm up to me and he is now constantly at my side. What he really needs is a forever home.

Emilio likes to play with our other dogs but can be a little possessive at times, especially when he is cuddling. Therefore, some care must be taken if he is placed in a home with another dog, especially if that dog is used to being dominant. He also will run when given an opportunity so a secure home is a must. I know these are not exactly great selling points, but if you take the time to get to know him, you will see what the payoff is for your patience.
