Gill, a 25-year veteran in the restaurant industry, and his partner, Behzad Cohan, opened their first Yogurtland store in 2010. The pair has since expanded to nine stores throughout the San Fernando Valley, two in downtown Los Angeles and another at Camp Pendleton. In spring 2014, a 13th location will debut in Woodland Hills. Gill and Cohan plan to continue expansion throughout southern California, opening a total of 15 stores within the next five years.

Yogurtland has transformed the yogurt industry by reshaping a popular trend into an empowering new definition of a treat experience – delivering ultimate customer control. Stores feature 16 flavors of self-serve frozen yogurt from a rotating menu of more than 50 selections that include both traditional favorites such as cookies and cream or other more exotic flavors like taro, green tea, maqui berry, yuzu, and guava pineapple.

Customers become the architect of their frozen yogurt creation by mixing and combining flavors and topping their yogurt with a choice of more than 35 selections that include fresh fruits, nuts, cereals, candy and much more. Price is determined by the total weight of the customer’s cup.

“We have in-house flavorologists that formulate all of our yogurt flavors,” Gill said. “The entire yogurt making process is under our control and all our flavors are unique to Yogurtland and made with real ingredients.”

As one of the nation’s first and largest self-serve frozen yogurt brands, Yogurtland has grown more than 160 percent over the past three years. The company opened an impressive 58 domestic stores in 2013 and plans to have more than 370 locations by the end of 2014. Yogurtland currently has 95 stores throughout the greater Los Angeles/Orange County/Inland Empire areas and plans to add 16 additional locations in the area in 2014.
