Time Warner to Gift $5 to All L.A. Customers for Super Bowl Snafu

Whether your cable service went out or not, if you're with Time Warner, you've got money coming to you. Is it enough?

Time Warner Cable is giving either a $5 credit or a $5 gift card to all Los Angeles-area customers whether they lost Super Bowl feed from KTTV or not, NBC Los Angeles reported.

At about 4:45 p.m., a little more than an hour into the game, Time Warner tweeted that it was having problems with service. Service wasn’t returned until about 6 p.m., although high-definition customers could watch the big game on Fox’s high-def channel.

Today, Time Warner tweeted: “LA TV customers will receive an automatic gift of appreciation following the Super Bowl interruption. We'll be sending direct info.Thank you.”
