Former Patch editor Doug Kriegel takes a look at the condom conundrum.

Steve Hirsch of Vivid Entertainment doesn't grant many interviews, saying he doesn't have much time while running the largest production company of adult entertainment in the world.

But, former Sherman Oaks Patch editor Doug Kriegel managed to get Hirsch to sit down for a profile for Our Ventura Boulevard magazine specifically about the new city law that requires condom use in the movies he produces and distributes.

Many adult film studios have offices and production facilities in Chatsworth.

He ultimately said that the new Measure B will be detrimental to the business, and may end the days of the San Fernando Valley being known as the porn capital of the world.

In the article, Hirsch said:

“This new law is going to force adult film performers to wear latex gloves, goggles and lab coats in our films. That’s ridiculous.
