Ross Dress for Less Coming to Northridge Fashion Center

New stores and restaurants are opening in Northridge.

The sign has gone up. Ross Dress for Less is opening soon at the Northridge Fashion Center.

Ross will occupy the former Circuit City location at 19330 Plummer St. Since the electronics retailer went bankrupt in 2009, the free-standing store has been a movie location and a Halloween store. But most of the time it has been empty.

The fashion discounter will be adjacent to the Romano's Macaroni Grill and the new Elephant Bar restaurant scheduled to open in March.

Elsewhere, overstock specialist Big Lots is planning a grand opening on March 1. The store moved in where discounter Marshalls departed at 8960 Tampa Ave.

During the grand opening celebration, Big Lots district manager Dan Weiss will present $1,500 to Napa Street Elementary School. Victoria Christie, principal, will accept the check on behalf of the school.
