Alpha Xi Delta Students Walk for Autism Speaks 4/26
Women’s fraternal organization supports Autism Speaks as part of a national philanthropy partnership
LOS ANGELES – Alpha Xi Delta Chapter President Lindsay Thompson and the 125 women of Alpha Xi Delta – Delta Rho Chapter at California State University, Northridge understand the need to walk for autism and will walk in support of the autism community during Los Angeles Walk Now for Autism Speaks on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Pasadena Rose Bowl during Autism Awareness Month.
Since 2009, Alpha Xi Delta has paired with Autism Speaks to help raise autism awareness and much needed financial support. Local chapters and alumnae associations participate in Walk Now For Autism Speaks events across the country. On a national level, they have raised over $2M for autism research and awareness and last year the Northridge chapter raised $31,400 through their annual, week-long philanthropy event, inspiring CSUN students and the surrounding community to get involved for Autism Speaks.
