Take a Drive and See How Local Artists Live and Work

On Sunday, Nov. 6, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. the (CFAC), a nonprofit organization, is sponsoring a Studio Tour / Art Reception to raise funds for art activities in the North West Valley, including Chatsworth’s “Annual Depot Art Show” which is presented each June at the Metrolink Station.

This is your opportunity to support the Arts in our community while you enjoy a Sunday touring the studios of five notable Chatsworth area artists, and an art reception with exhibits, art demonstrations, door prizes and a complementary light buffet.  The tour is self-guided, and if you get your tickets on event day you need to start at the Art Reception at the Depot to get a ticket / tour map.

Your ticket also makes you eligible for door prizes which include: Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza tickets to "An Evening with Patti Lupone & Mandy Patinkin,” a Cheesecake Factory gift card, an original Art Glass Decorative Plate, a set of hand painted greeting cards, and more. You do not have to be present to win.

The CFAC award-winning studio artists on the tour are: , a fused glass artist who also does watercolor and dye-on-silk paintings,  Chet Collom, a versatile, varied media painter who also teaches popular group art classes at his studio; Phyllis Solcyk, a watercolor painter, and an art instructor who is well recognized for her skills with transparent watercolor techniques;  , primarily a watercolor artist known for her use of brilliant color who also teaches and holds workshops at her studio; and , a nationally recognized artist for her whimsical, unique, mixed media paintings.

In addition to the studio artists, graphite painting artist , and plein-air artist will be appearing at the Art Reception

The CFAC Studio Tour / Art Reception tickets are $10 in advance or $12.50 at the door.  Ticket may be purchased from any CFAC member or purchased on Nov. 6 at the Art Reception being held at 10042A Old Depot Plaza Rd. (located to the right of the Depot main lobby).
