History of the Chatsworth Train Tunnel Construction

The Chatsworth Historical Society's October general meeting will feature a presentation on the 1898-1904 construction of the three train tunnels from Chatsworth to Simi Valley.

Please join us as we time travel through our Chatsworth Train Tunnels as they were constructed.  The program will included actual 1898 photos of the construction recorded by the Southern Pacific Railroad in an Engineering Photo Book and a discussion of what was required to accomplish this task.
