Winds Postpone Tour at Santa Susana Field Lab

Saturday won't see the Santa Susana Field Laboratory open to the public for a planned walking tour due to high wind warnings.

Boeing issued a statement Friday afternoon that says the event has been rescheduled for Nov. 9.

"Our primary concern is the safety and comfort of our guests and employees," said spokeswoman Megan Hilfer.

On the tour, guests would get a look at historical artifacts including missiles, a flame bucket that captured hot gases during rocket testing, main engine nozzles from the Space Shuttle, and control panel equipment.
