Shocking! Superman Grew Up in Chatsworth!

Another secret identity can now be revealed.

We all know that Superman's secret identity is Clark Kent. But now it can be revealed that the the strange visitor from another world grew up in the home of Ma and Pa Kent right here in Chatsworth, um, that is, "Atsworth."

The makers of the 1948 movie serial starring Kirk Alyn kept our town's identity secret, too. Superman became Clark Kent by donning glasses. Chatsworth became Atsworth by covering up a couple of letters on the sign at the old train depot.

Join the Chatsworth Historical Society at 7 p.m, Tuesday, 10385 Shadow Oak Drive, for a bag of popcorn and a screening of the first cliffhanger episiode filmed here in "Atsworth." See the old train station and scenes filmed around Stoney Point.
