Photos: Talent Abound at 1st Northridge Family Art Fair

More than 200 people came out to enjoy the fine weather, arts and music at the First Annual Northridge Family Art Fair on Saturday.

Twenty-plus vendors were selling jewelry, kitchenware, arts, lotions, hand-knitted scarves, baby clothes, and much more. Live music by Charlie Harrison and Guy Guilbert.

Food trucks selling snow cones, beignets, sandwiches, mac and cheese, tacos, fish and more. Beautiful tables in a garden-like setting were decorated with art supplies for kids to take home.

Crafts included: painting shopping bags, bottle cap art, sidewalk chalk designs, painting box city, clay creations, and painting a mural of Calahan Community Charter.

An art gallery was set up in auditorium depicting the history of Northridge, and drawings and paintings were done by students.  Possible murals for Reseda Blvd. were shown on display board.

All in all, a great success, and hoping to grow each and every year!
