A Northridge resident and her decades of tidying up neighborhood streets were recognized by Fox 11 over the weekend.

Chris Williams made the cut for "Gina's People" because for the past 25 years, she can't pass by a cluster of weeds or litter on the sidewalk without doing something about it.

"I got a backpack blower for Mother's Day and professional lawn mower and weed whacker for Christmas, " she told Fox 11.

Williams says her motivation comes from an intrinsic feeling of always wanting to make things better.

Seriously hard to not instantly like someone who just DOES STUFF....she has been doing this for 25 years? AWESOME. Plus, gotta love a woman who knows her way around professional gardening equipment! Yowza! Great job, Ms. Williams...bowing with respect in your direction!

Yeah Chris! You are an inspiration to all of us. It is a joy to work along side you each Thursday here in Northridge. Maybe the City will enforce LAMC 56.08 and make those neighbors clean up their own parkways & sidewalks one of these days. Best wishes!
