Northridge Woman Honored for Cleaning the Community

A Northridge resident and her decades of tidying up neighborhood streets were recognized by Fox 11 over the weekend.

Chris Williams made the cut for "Gina's People" because for the past 25 years, she can't pass by a cluster of weeds or litter on the sidewalk without doing something about it.

"I got a backpack blower for Mother's Day and professional lawn mower and weed whacker for Christmas, " she told Fox 11.

Williams says her motivation comes from an intrinsic feeling of always wanting to make things better.
