Just a Reminder: There's a Toy Company in Town

What was once a hub for churning out information on paper every day is currently home to a toymaker.

It wasn't long ago when 20000 Prairie St. in Chatsworth housed the printing offices of the L.A. Times until the decline of the newspaper industry spun parent company Tribune into a restructuring frenzy.

Now, the property is occupied by MGA, owner of brands like Little Tikes and the line of Bratz dolls, and they don't want the neighborhood to forget that.

The company recently plopped a massive inflated helicopter, coincidentally on an old helipad that belonged to the L.A. Times.

"I think they probably are just having a little fun decorating the property," said Steve Syatt, a spokesman with MGA, which is headquartered in Van Nuys.

And apparently, they've done this before with other inflatables.
