Help Design a New Playground at Mason Park Wednesday

A Tot Parks and Trails grant from First 5 LA will be used to renovate the play area in Chatsworth.

Want to help design a new children's play area at Mason Park in Chatsworth?

The Los Angeles Parks Foundation has awarded a Tot Parks and Trails grant from First 5 LA to renovate the playground at 10500 Mason Ave., according to Megan Cottier, district director for Councilman Mitch Englander.

The Parks foundation has contracted Shane’s Inspiration to design the playground in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks.

To begin the process there will be two community design meetings held at the Mason Park Recreation Center on Wednesday, Feb. 13 -- one at 10:30 a.m. and the second meeting beginning at 6 p.m.
