Concert in the Canyon Raises $10,000 for Chatsworth's Ride With Pride

Guests enjoy BBQ, a silent auction, road apple bingo, practice roping and lots of dancing.

Ride with Pride recently held its second annual Concert in the Canyon, featuring the Doo Wah Riders, while raising $10,000 to support its therapeutic horseback riding program.

provided and served hamburgers and hot dogs to more than 300 guests. Borderline Bar and Grill donated the dance floor, PRG provided the lighting and Saunders Electric provided a generator. 

Guests enjoyed a BBQ, silent auction, road apple bingo, practice roping and, of course, lots of dancing to the great music.

Ride with Pride provides quality recreational and therapeutic horseback riding lessons to clients with disabilities. It also offers equine-facilitated psychotherapy to military veterans at no charge to the veteran. 

This Sunday, Ride with Pride will be taking seven riders and six horses to the Kiwanis Show for Exceptional Riders at Hansen Dam Equestrian Center. The public is invited to watch the riders, who welcome spectators.

Mark your calendars for Nov. 15, when Ride with Pride will be doing a "dining for dollars" fundraiser all day at California Pizza Kitchen in Northridge, 9301 Tampa Ave. You can dine in or take out, and if you show a flier, Ride with Pride will receive 20 percent of the amount you spend.
