Rattler's Bar B Que Celebrates 25 Years With Month-long Fundraiser For Habitat for Humanity

One of the Santa Clarita Valley’s most popular restaurants is celebrating its 25th anniversary in November with a month-long fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity San Fernando/Santa Clarita Valleys, free gift card giveaway and surprise comp’d meals given to unsuspecting guests each day.  Rattlers Bar B Que also will feed an expected 1,000 community members attending the groundbreaking ceremony for Habitat For Humanity’s Santa Clarita Valley project on November 9, whose aim is to provide housing for veterans and their families in need.    While all active and veteran military members and their families will attend for free, cost for the public is $20 for adults and $15 for children.  100% of proceeds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity and the USO.

Restaurant management announced that on each Monday in November, 10% of all regularly priced food sales will be donated to the nonprofit.  Also, staff will be armed with $25 gift cards that they will distribute at random each day and meals will be comp’d to unsuspecting guests throughout the month.

One of the highlights of Rattler’s Bar B Que anniversary month will be the groundbreaking ceremony, which will be attended by city officials, veterans and their families, Habitat For Humanity volunteers and anyone in the community supporting the endeavor. Rattler’s Bar B Que will feed the 1,000 expected attendees with a free lunch after the ceremonial gold shovels break the ground to commemorate the project’s launch.

Founded in 1988, Rattler’s has long been a popular dining destination best known for its value-oriented menu and many barbecue selections.  Among its popular items are grilled tri-tip, ribs and chicken -- all meats are slow cooked and finished over a live mesquite fire -- as well as a wide variety of salads, signature burgers including Rattler's Chili Burger, appetizers such as their Famous Shredded Onions and sandwiches including French Dip and Pulled Pork.   Its casual, family oriented approach to dining combined with its thriving take-out and catering divisions propelled Rattler’s to success and even spawned the wildly successful concept, Stonefire Grill.

“What better way to celebrate this milestone -- our 25th anniversary -- than by recognizing our loyal guests and supporting Habitat for Humanity, which has changed the lives of so many.” said Rattler's spokesperson Justin Lopez.  “The fact that this particular project involves building homes for local veterans and their families gives it particularly significant meaning.  These men and women have put their lives on the line for us so we are honored to be a part of this massive community event.”
