LA-area HR Pros Can Still Register for Cal HR Conference

In late August (Aug. 26-28), the California HR Conference®, (www.cahrconference.org) the second largest conference for human resources professionals in the United States, will open its doors at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif. This year, the event expects to draw more than 3,200 attendees in the HR field, predominantly from California to network, gain credit hours for recertification and learn the latest HR news and techniques.

Attendee interest in this year’s California HR Conference, produced by the Professionals In Human Resources Association (PIHRA), is heightened by the coming health care reform changes, which analysts say are likely to affect employee benefits programs in 2013 and beyond for California employers.

The California HR Conference offers a “Bosses Day” where supervisors of HR professionals are allowed to attend the conference for free with their direct reports and learn about best practices in the field. Also, this year the conference boasts an all-star lineup of keynote speakers including Stedman Graham and President & CEO of Scripps Health, Chris Van Gorder.

“Our annual event is designed to help our attendees bring new ideas and approaches to their organizations,” said Rafael Rivera, Executive Director, PIHRA. “This year, there will certainly be a lot of questions about health care reform in California and together we hope to emerge with answers and real-world strategies that will make the coming changes easier to manage.”
