Change a Life: Help an Adult Learn to Read

Your local public library is currently in need of tutors for our Adult Literacy Program.  Each tutor works one-on-on with their student teaching basic reading and writing skills.  No education background necessary as volunteers receive training, materials, and any support necessary.  Tutors and students meet twice a week at a time and place convenient for both of them.

If you would like more information on our fun and rewarding program, please e-mail mbarsook@lapl.org or call (213) 623-4078 x15390.
