The Chatsworth church parish is Saint Mary the Virgin, Anglican Rite Catholic Church in the Oakwood Memorial Park at 22601 Lassen Street, Chatsworth, California, 91311. The Lent & Easter services are numerous and varied. Along with their Sunday and mid-week Masses at 10 AM; during the Lenten weeks additional Evening Prayer weekday meetings with theological Bible discussions are scheduled. These group discussions are being based reading the popular book, “Facing Your Giants” authored by Pastor Max Lucado. April 1st is Palm Sunday with traditional distribution of blessed palms at High Mass services, 10 AM time. At 12 Noon, April 6th Good Friday observance with Stations of the Cross begins. On April 8th 10 AM, Saint Mary’s Easter Sunday celebration features a High Mass of the Resurrection with joyous bell ringing and a child’s egg hunt after services during coffee fellowship. Food drives, charity work, visiting the ill and the retirees in assisted living homes, and a booth at Chatsworth Pioneer Days keeps them busy with local activities.
