The banking leader’s Valencia location will serve as a regional hub where the branch and commercial banking are brought together under the same umbrella to serve local businesses and individuals. This office officially opened on April 9.
The Valencia office will emphasize cultivating relationships with the local business community. To start, the regional office has joined the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, Santa Clarita Valley Latino Chamber of Commerce and the Valley Industry Association.
Angela Underwood serves as senior vice president and regional manager for the Northern Los Angeles/Central Valley area which includes the new Valencia office. Prior to joining California Bank & Trust, she was senior vice president and consumer banking executive for Bank of America’s Antelope Valley market area, managing 15 banking centers, 250 staff, and $1 billion in deposits. She has spent more than 20 years in the banking industry.

Timothy Herles holds the position of senior vice president and commercial banking team leader at the new Valencia regional office. He is responsible for managing, leading and assisting a team of lenders in an effort to meet established business development goals for the unit. Before joining California Bank & Trust, Herles served as manager of business banking for National Bank of California. He is a member of the California Bankers Association, National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders and Newhall School District Bond Oversight Committee.

David Sada serves as vice president and commercial banking officer in the Valencia office. He is responsible for outreach to local community businesses and for generating core deposits, business and commercial real estate loans, fee income and maintaining profitable business relationships for the bank. Sada previously served as senior client manager for Merrill Lynch.
