4: Councilmember Englander’s office will be hosting a Business Council for the Chatsworth/Northridge Industrial Core to provide information related to the recent dramatic changes of the State Enterprise Zone. Topics covered will include: Sales Tax Exemption on manufacturing equipment or R&D equipment by manufacturing or biotechnology research and development, addition of necessary tenant improvements, hiring credits of $56,000 per employee (five year total 2,000 hours), 35 percent of wages each year for a total of 175 percent, California Competes Incentive Credit – Location can be ANYWHERE in California and GO-Biz negotiates amount of credit. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 3-6 p.m. Porter Valley Country Club, 19216 Singing Hills Dr., Northridge.
