Monday Essentials: Chatsworth Hills History, Neighborhood Council Meets and Family Art Fair

A round up of happenings in Northridge and Chatsworth throughout the week.

Tuesday

"Homesteading in the Chatsworth Hills" presented by the Chatsworth Historical Society is being held at the Homestead Acre. The event entails a presentation about the first 32 families that settled in the area and the challenges they had to cope with. Tuesday's event is being held at 7 p.m. at the Homestead Acre at Chatsworth Park South. 10385 Shadow Oak Drive. 

Wednesday

The Northridge East Neighborhood Council meets at 7 p.m. at the Northridge Woman's Club. 18401 Lassen St. Click here for the agenda.

Thursday

Laughter is the best medicine is an old saying, but a group of yoga enthusiasts believe chuckling complements their workouts. Laughter Yoga Northridge is being held at 7 p.m. Click here for more information.

Friday 

Bryan Chan and Friends will perform a free show at Pho-King Delicious starting at 7 p.m. 9350 Corbin Ave., Northridge.

Come join SOLID’s all you can Eat Pasta Dinner Fundraiser and help theDevonshire LAPD Station raise money for updates to their Police Station. The dinner fundraiser will be $9 per person and children under 3 eat for free. Event is from 5-7:30 p.m. St. Nicholas Greek Church. 9501 Balboa Blvd.

Saturday

The first ever Northridge Family Art Fair is being held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Calahan Community Charter. There will be crafts, face painting, food trucks and more. Click here for more event info.
