I am the block captain for the West Hills North Neighborhood Watch and a member of the West HillsRead MoreNe ighborhood Council. When the helipad, which is located in West Hills, not Chatsworth, was firs proposed, the LAFD came to make presentations at both organizations to get the neighborhood behind it. The purpose of placing a helilpad there is there was no helipad for LAFD to use if, and when, there are brush fires in the west valley, or other close by locations, like Santa Clarita and Simi Valley. The neighbors were strongly in favor of having this kind of protection nearby. It was explained by LAFD that the pad would only be used by LAFD and for no other purpose. They did say that there would be times when it would be used for training purposes, so that when a real fire started, the pilots and support teams would know how, and what, to do. I have an very active email roster, of over 200 names, most which contains email addresses of folks located from Topanga Canyon Blvd, west to the county line, and from Roscoe Blvd, north to Nordhoff St. I have had no complaints from anyone over the absolutely necessary training that took place recently. We appreciate what the LAFD does for us. That helipad has been used numerous times for brush fires in the hills surrounding us. I can't speak for the other helicopter flights by LAPD, Sherrif'fs, TV stations, etc., that fly over the reservoir. I do know that there are efforts on the part of the city of Los Angeles and other governmental agencies to limit the flight frequency, altitude, and fpaths, over large metropolitan areas.

nonoise Part two is not as you stated. Part one and two go together as a plan of moving on. If you Read Moreseriously want to stay and fight, ok, so be it. Just make yourself 100% aware you chose to stay. You choosing to stay and fight is yours, not the church. Thechurch may be very obnoxious, and not neighbor friendly.....but the choice to stay, or go is 100% yours. If you stay and somehow get the noise to stop, great. As long as you are fully aware...it is in your hands how your life will go, not the church's. As for me, I still have more than enough to do what I want, flip houses, or whatever. I just didn't know I was rich until I lost a couple million. I started literally below zero worth, but a determination that I would rather die trying too hard than never try. Funny how that original angst, anger, and feeling inferior works as a motivator early in life......just has no place later in life. If you don't look at it like a game of monopoly----not too serious----then you are missing real life. That's my stage two of the much larger multi-decades game. Good luck.....at least promise yourself you are aware at every moment the choice to stay and fight was YOUR choice.

Ladies and gentlemen Mr global warming himself, Dr. James Hansen has endorsed an eco-fascist bookRead Moreth at calls for cities to be razed to the ground, industrial civilization to be destroyed and genocidal population reduction measures to be implemented in the name of preventing climate change. The book is calling for acts of sabotage and environmental terrorism in blowing up dams and demolishing cities in order to return the planet to the agrarian age. This reminds me of President Obama’s top science and technology advisor John P. Holdren co-authored a 1977 book in which he advocated the formation of a “planetary regime” that would use a “global police force” to enforce totalitarian measures of population control, including forced abortions, mass sterilization programs conducted via the food and water supply, as well as mandatory bodily implants that would prevent couples from having children. These are the ones that call those of us who question things deniers!!! Extremists are in control folks. All I am doing is asking questions.......

Charter Schools are public schools; that is a fact. There are two types of Charters: affiliated and independent; no charter school is a private school. They are funded with the U.S Taxpayers money. You, Mr. or Ms. vcblklion, are hiding your identity! Please, sir or madam, use your name, if you want your comments to be taken seriously. Publish all IA pay scales now! "Please, sir or madam, use your name, if you want your comments to be taken seriously.".Read More' Rhonda Goldberg' this your fake name? Some people cannot handle fake names. Three comments, generally attacking another monikered view ~ then asking to more information than required, suggests that more comments than three - used as a weapon against another in attacks and more substantiation from some online identity known as 'Rhonda Goldberg' is logical - to lend any seriousness to the three comments made to bolster the commenters reasoning for flagging anothers' comments. Seems, some moniker('Rhonda Goldberg') has a dog-in-the-hunt against Charter Schools in addition to threatening anonymity of comments. If the "removed' comments were language inappropriate - so be it, though it had nothing to do with another cat's chosen user name or that person's right to comment on issues in Patch. Applying your measure 'Rhonda Goldberg', readers will need more proof of your bona fides beyond three comments in Patch. Although 'Rhonda Goldberg' sheds no light in her attacks ~ the moniker('Rhonda') asks too much in questioning and possibly flagging, to make his/her accusations heard. Hey! The email was strategically sent to sabotage any chance Reed may have had for an RPLAC Central Committee endorsement on March 9 giving an “unknown” named Pablo Kleinman, Reed’s Republican opponent, a potentially better chance to benefit from an endorsement in District 30. ----------------------- Susan Shelley, a candidate for California Assembly in District 45, is now smack in the middle of a smear campaign as dozens of other members of the LA GOP who support Reed now suspect Shelley of some affiliation in this destructive deed. ----------------------- My own independent investigation of Reed in 2012 determined that he is not a convicted felon, as Shelley’s site continues to claim.... ------------------------- Reed is a volunteer/employee of Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and had to pass Dept. of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation and LAPD background checks. As a purported “felon,” Reed could never have passed any background checks. --------------------------- Mark Vafiades, Chairman of RPLAC, was also conspicuously silent in denouncing the fraudulent and defamatory email towards a fellow Republican at the March 8th endorsement meeting. Reed, who has received unanimous support in his own District and whose integrity and character are far less questionable than those who authored such a deceptive email, is pursuing legal alternatives that could leave Board Members of RPLAC vulnerable ------------------- Here are a couple of different resources for the voters, the public, and yourself to discern and digest the truth about all the slander and untrue allegations. ----------------------- An insightful article by Katharine Russ on CityWatch. http://www.citywatchla.com/8br-hidden/6658-california-politics-poison-email-causing-concerns-within-republican-party -------------------- And last of all my own words: http://markreedforcongress.com/New_Generation_Republicans.pdf

Carl, I suddenly thought of something here. When someone makes a crazy accusation of another, itsRead Moreou t there. When you post blogs about it, and everyone is commenting....it is MORE out in the internet. If the crude remarks are in the comments, and/or an article, on the internet, it is linked more. No matter how crazy, the more this grows, the more you will be intertwined, and attached to them. Sometime, years later, if someone wants to find dirt, or simply your name, it will still have your name with those comments. Although you are not Tom Cruise, these are the kind of things that can get false rumors going. Consider dropping the public approach. Winston S. Churchill said— "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on." Stop getting your name linked with this. In this new age, it will be out their for eternity, and all generations after you.
