Illegal aliens not migrants you PC ninnys. Unless you are ok with nonpaying customers in place ofRead More the word shoplifter. The only need for immigration reform is to add some form of amnesty and path to citizenship for those here illegally. Otherwise the current laws are fine. It is just lies to claim otherwise
Gem City Dude Man July 8, 2014 at 05:09 pm
Our nation's immigration policy, and the fact we don't have one is one, is purely based on economicsRead More on many levels. The same right wing fascists, who claim to be Christians, who say we need immigration reform, are the same ones who are hiring these poor people to work in their factories and fields, or businesses under exploitive conditions. And don't be misled thinking I am just singling out Republicans. Democrats have sold out America just the same. This has been going on for decades. Cheap labor that has undermined American Unions and has helped destroy the middle class. These corporatists have only one goal, and that is to increase their bottom line. They exploit all resources and human beings happen to be one as well. However, on the other end of the immigration issue is something no one seems to talk about, or seems to get upset about, and that is the exploitation of our American property and culture. While these corporatists exploit labor and destroy our middle class they have found an easy way to prop up part of the economy by selling off our local real-estate to wealthy foreigners who have $$ to buy it. While the corporatists bankrupt the middle class and foreclose on our children's futures, they have no problem selling our assets off to anyone with cash. We have entire So-Cal communities that have changed nationalities in 10 short years. And the American kids that grew up there can no longer afford to live there, because foreign $$ has escalated property values beyond their reach. Traditional American Middle Class Families displaced away from their land and lives. But because these Asians have $$, no one cares about this type of exploitation!

Once again, my complaint was that the Patch was allowing blogs to be posted under my blog without myRead More permission even though I had specifically clicked the button that specified that "All Posts Need to be Approved." I looked at Tim Sheridan's website and he's interested in making sure the government is run well.Read More And let's face it, this current crop of Republican politician's want to take us back to the stone age on a lot of issues that have a big impact on women, children, and seniors. Plus, they are totally stupid on environmental issues. We need to vote Ken Calvert out and put Tim Sheridan in. Its time we had a real congressman.

Martha L. Bridges June 3, 2014 at 09:44 am
The point is that in these cases it is illegal and unconstitutional. Republicans in this area haveRead More a long history of doing things to serve their own interests even if they know all to well that it is not lawful. This makes for bad government at any level.

Why the Globalists Selected Obama to be President. 'What most Americans fail to realize is that theRead More destruction of America has been planned for and is currently underway. The craziness coming out of Washington is not the result of incompetent politicians. Here's a stat that is one of the big reasons that California public education is woefully inadequateRead More on many levels: we are the 48th out of 50 states in terms of how much we spend per student....Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas spend more per student than we do! That's disgraceful. Only Nevada and Utah spend less. We spend 5 times more per prisoner in our prisons than on our kids. Until that huge deficit is fixed, public education in California will remain mediocre at best. And anyone who thinks teachers are the cause of any problems we have with the system are looking for excuses to lay blame where it doesn't belong. Spending tax money to create jobs through infrastructure rebuilding stimulates the economy.Read More Democrats have raised the Stock Market from 7,949 in 2009 to 16,620 last Friday. The GDP growth went from -5.4 to +4.1, and the Deficit GDP has gone from 9.8% to 3.3%, all under the Democratic leadership. Think what would have been accomplished without the obstructionism. The 112th Congress was the least productive of any in history, and Calvert was part of that waste. Thanks to a Democrat in the Governor's office, the State of California is now comfortably in theRead More black. It's a myth that Republicans are better for the economy. They just have a great propaganda machine and follow the philosophy that, if you lie enough and take credit for the good things often enough, the gullible will believe anything. In modern America, almost all indicators of economic growth--jobs, the stock market, and every other measure of a thriving America, happen under Democrats. Ken Calvert is not a friend of the people. He's not a steward of this planet that we all must share--climate deniers and those of us who believe in the validity of science. my children and grandchildren, and yours. Calvert would have us use dirty coal and oil for the next 200 years. He'd probably allow fracking on every square foot of Southern California. He, like his GOP friends in Congress, have spent nearly $60m of taxpayers money trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which is, happily, never going to be repealed, now. Calvert doesn't even pretend to represent non-Republicans in his district. He's not a friend of women, minorities or the LGBT community--and yes, they're all constituents. It's time to boot his butt out of Congress and elect someone's who's going to represent ALL the constituents of this district. It's time to give Calvert his walking papers and hire someone who's going to put the interests of the people before corporations and donors with big fat checkbooks. A change can't come too soon. I'm voting for Tim Sheridan because I'm tired of having no one in the House who represents me, or all the constituents of this district who are not Republicans or Tea Party.

Those paid for private schools are not always good ones. And, they are not always the answer.Read More Some can be your worst nightmere.
