New Businesses Move Into Chatsworth

Weak economy not a stumbling block for expanding firms.

Despite the weak economy, Chatsworth is attracting new business.

He has called his facility a one-of-a-kind lead-free operation in the shooting-range business. The "green" indoor firing range and self-protection school is a firearms training center and a venue for professional law enforcement officers who need to upgrade their firearm skills.

Cal Net Technology Group, an IT consulting and computer services company serving Los Angeles, Ventura, and Orange counties, has moved its Los Angeles headquarters from Northridge to 9420 Topanga Canyon Blvd.

And Earthly Body Inc., a skin care products firm, has purchased a 40,000 square-foot industrial building in Chatsworth for about $3.8 million, according to the brokerage involved in the deal.

The company will move into a building at 21900-21910 Plummer St. in June to manufacture and distribute its natural body and skin care products. The facility—built in 1984—will help accommodate future growth, a spokesman said.
