Manson Follower Loses Latest Parole Bid
Robert Beausoleil was convicted in the 1969 stabbing death of musician Gary Hinman.
Onetime Charles Manson follower and convicted killer Robert Beausoleil has again been denied parole.
Manson and many of his other former followers, who made their headquarters at the Spahn Movie Ranch in Chatsworth, have repeatedly been denied parole and remain behind bars.
Beausoleil, 63, was convicted in the 1969 stabbing death of musician Gary Hinman in the victim's Topanga Canyon home.
On Monday, a two-member panel from the California Board of Parole Hearings issued a five-year denial. Beausoleil was last denied parole in December 2008, Deputy District Attorney Patrick Sequeira told City News Service.
Beausoleil, an aspiring musician and actor, was initially sentenced to death, but his sentence—along with those of Manson and a number of his followers—was later commuted to life in prison following a U.S. Supreme Court ruling on new requirements for capital cases.
He was already in jail when other Manson followers killed actress Sharon Tate and four others, then murdered grocer Leno LaBianca and his wife, Rosemary, according to the Associated Press.

Bobby should never receive parole. He is a cold hearted killer and was
very much part of the Manson Family. He owes a debt to Gary's family
to stay in jail forever. He is also a big liar who has no remorse. Glad
to see he received a 5 year denial.
