Chilly, drizzly conditions kept most of the fans away from Chatsworth High's City Section Div. II playoff opener Friday against visiting Hollywood.

A few minutes before the 7 p.m.  kickoff, coach Jason Camp winked and said, "I think the fans think the game starts at 8."

Too bad.  They missed a good show.

D'ondre Alexander rushed for 209 yards on 16 carrries and scored four touchdowns on runs of 34,  11, 94  and 7 yards, as Chatsworth came from five points down in a 47-20 victory.

The Chancellors play visiting Panorama on Friday in the quarterfinals, an opponent that defeated Chatsworth 28-19 earlier this season in a nonleague game later overturned by a forfeit.

"I'd love to play Panorama again," Camp said. "We lost to them in game one. We had our fourth-string quarterback in and a lot of problems. You know I'd love to play them again."

Chatsworth also scored on Eric Waters' 14-yard reception, Curtis Ervin's 2-yard run  and Tyree Quals' 11-yard run.

The Chancellors are 9-2, their best record in years, but Camp thinks they can do better.

"I'm not happy at all. I'm not happy. We made way too many mistakes," Camp said. "Hollywood came out with the no-huddle, and kids weren't doing what I told them to do. And, we got down early and we battled back, but I don't know, maybe I'm just hard to please, I guess."

At least Chatsworth had a good week a practice -- an issue in preceding weeks.

"It was much better. Everybody was there. Nobody missed," Camp said. "They were much more committed this week, so hopefully, it'll show in the play."
